How to Open a Pomegranate
To start, you'll need a sharp knife and a large bowl. When cutting, be careful because the juice will stain your clothing!
- Cut off the top 1/2" or so.
- Score the skin of the pomegranate, by making five shallow cuts from top to bottom.
- In a large bowl, pull the pomegranate apart where you made the cuts. Fill the bowl with water, and hold the pomegranate underwater while pulling apart to minimize the amount of juice that will spray.
- Seperate out the seeds and enjoy!
